Did you hear? After much discussion in 2009, LINC and Connectech have decided to combine forces and create a new and improved IT group to better serve the Greater Lansing technology industry.
While LINC is a professional development association, its members are both the technology professionals from technology companies and technology users alike We have been mostly a networking organization with a focus on assisting with apprenticeships, internships, scholarships and employment opportunities.
Connectech has aimed to promote the advancement of Michigan's knowledge-based workforce by connecting individuals and communities through technology education events.
Merging the two organizations together will allow us to launch a new combined organization that will continue to provide all the IT professionals in the Lansing area with networking events, educational seminars, employment assistance and will continue to give back and develop the IT community.
We will be building this group based on the needs of the IT population, and we are looking for leaders. If you are interested in learning more about the new board and committee roles, would like to serve in a leadership position, or would like to sit on a committee, we invite you to join us for a Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, Jan 19.
